Saints celebrated on the 31st of March

Prayer to the Angels and the Saints

Heavenly Father, in praising Your Angels and Saints we praise Your glory, for by honouring them we honour You, their Creator. Their splendour shows us Your greatness, which infinitely surpasses that of all creation.

In Your loving providence, You saw fit to send Your Angels to watch over us. Grant that we may always be under their protection and one day enjoy their company in heaven.

Heavenly Father, You are glorified in Your Saints, for their glory is the crowning of Your gifts. You provide an example for us by their lives on earth, You give us their friendship by our communion with them, You grant us strength and protection through their prayer for the Church, and You spur us on to victory over evil and the prize of eternal glory by this great company of witnesses.

Grant that we who aspire to take part in their joy may be filled with the Spirit that blessed their lives, so that, after sharing their faith on earth, we may also experience their peace in heaven. Amen.

⬅️ 108 Martyrs of World War II

Blessed Natalia Tulasiewicz (born on April 9, 1906) was a Polish teacher in Poznan, and a leader in the Catholic lay apostolate. 

She became a member of the Polish Underground State. In 1943 she volunteered to leave for Germany together with other women who were forced to perform heavy work, to give them spiritual comfort. When her underground mission came to light, she was arrested and sent to Ravensbrück Concentration Camp.

GOOD FRIDAY

On Good Friday 1945, she climbed a stool in the barracks and spoke to the prisoners on the passion and resurrection of Jesus. 

EASTER SUNDAY

Two days later, on Easter Sunday, March 31, she was murdered in a gas chamber. The concentration camp was liberated two days later.

Natalia Tulasiewicz was beatified in 1999 as one of the 108 Martyrs of World War II. She is one of the two lay women among the 108 Martyrs.

The Proprium of Passau relates his life story as follows: Saint Valentine came from the seashore and arrived at Batava, today's Passau.
