  ALL SAINTS CELEBRATED IN JULY Saints celebrated on the 24th of July WELCOME! SAINT DECLAN, BISHOP ⬅️ Litany of the Irish Saints Saint Declan , who through his father belonged to the royal dynasty of the Déisi Muman, is remembered as the fifth-century Munster saint who evangelised the Irish before  Saint Patrick , who converted the Déisi and who founded the monastery of Ardmore in Wexford (which now belongs to County Waterford ). PRAYER: Lord God, who through Saint Declan sowed the seeds of faith in Ireland, grant that your people, by following his example of of prayer and continuing his love for the poor, may come to maturity in Christ. SAINT DECLAN, BISHOP OF ARDMORE   ⬅️ Litany of the Irish Saints Saint Declan  (Declanus), the first bishop of Ardmore in Ireland, which See was later combined with that of Lismore, proclaimed the Christian faith to the Irish shortly before the arrival of  Saint Patrick  (Patritius). Saint Declan died in the 6th century. He was venerated with great devotion in the Margraviate of Dessia [County Waterford], which was formerly called Nandest.
