SAINT APHRODISIUS AND COMPANIONS, MARTYRS OF ALEXANDRIA Saints Aphrodisius, Agrippa , Sabinus, Grisus, Lucius, Cyrilla, Juvinus, and two others ended their lives through a glorious martyrdom in Alexandria. The time and manner of their martyrdom cannot be specified. The Roman Martyrology states:  "At Rome, in the reign of Claudius, Saint Cyrilla, virgin, daughter of Saint Tryphonia, who was pierced through the throat for the faith of Christ." PRAYER: Grant, we beseech you, almighty God, that the venerable feast of Saint Cyrilla may increase our devotion and promote our salvation. SAINT CYRILLA, MARTYR - 5 JULY

  ALL SAINTS CELEBRATED IN JULY Saints celebrated on the 5th of July SAINT CYRILLA, MARTYR Today, we also commemorate Saint Cyrilla. The Roman Martyrology states:  "At Cyrene, Saint Cyrilla, a martyr, in the persecution of Diocletian. For a long while she held on her hand burning coals with incense, lest by shaking off the coals she should seem to offer incense to the idols. She was afterwards cruelly scourged, and went to her spouse adorned with her own blood." PRAYER: Grant, we beseech you, almighty God, that the venerable feast of Saint Cyrilla may increase our devotion and promote our salvation.
