ALL SAINTS CELEBRATED IN OCTOBER Saints celebrated on the 18th of October WELCOME! SAINT LUKE, EVANGELIST Saint Luke was a physician of Antioch. He knew Greek and was a disciple of the Apostle Paul, whom he accompanied on his second and third missionary journeys. He also stayed in Rome when St Paul was in captivity.  A CONVERT TO CHRISTIANITY A gentile convert to Christianity, Luke wrote the Gospel from holy tradition (word of mouth) and compiled the Acts from what he, personally, had seen. He never married and lived eighty-four years. PRAYER: Father, you chose Luke the evangelist to reveal by preaching and writing the mystery of your love for the poor. Unite in one heart and spirit all who glory in your name, and let all nations come to see your salvation. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son,  who lives and reigns with you in the unity  of the Holy Spirit,  God, for ever and ever.  Amen.
