ALL SAINTS CELEBRATED IN AUGUST Saints celebrated on the 19th of August WELCOME! SAINT JOHN EUDES, PRIEST Saint John Eudes was born in France in 1601 and lived most of his life in Normandy. He founded the Institute of Our Lady of Charity to help prostitutes, and the Congregation of Jesus and Mary, whose work was the running of seminaries, which he established at Caen, Coutances, Lisieux and Rouen. He left spiritual writings, and promoted devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and of Mary. PRAYER: Father, you chose the priest John Eudes to preach the infinite riches of Christ. By his teaching and example help us to know you better and live faithfully in the light of the gospel. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, for ever and ever. Amen.
