SAINT LEONTIUS AND COMPANIONS, MARTYRS (Saint Leontius and 35 Companions, Martyrs) According to the Martyrology of  Saint Jerome *, Saints Leontius, Mauricius, Mellitus, Achilles, Daniel, Corionus, Attonus, Besonus, Eustasius, Octavius, Anicetus, Theodore, Cristus, Candidus, Gorgonius, Arcelaus, Cyrinus, Euphrodosius, Gelanus (Gilanus), Auticius, Azelus, Attenus, Gagius, Sision , Auxentius, Valentine, Droditius, Faustasius, Aurelius, Gorgodianus, Cyrion, Corolus, Nostinus, Sisinnius, Castricius and Apollonius were martyrs at Alexandria.  Various sources, however, vary greatly with regard to the names. In the Roman Martyrology *, these names do not feature at all on July 10, but Saints Leontius, Mauritius and Daniel and Companions are listed instead.
