ALL SAINTS CELEBRATED IN FEBRUARY Saints celebrated on the 6th of February SAINT MEL, BISHOP OF ARDAGH ⬅️ Litany of the Irish Saints Saint Mel (Melchno) flourished in the 5th century. One of the earliest of the Irish saints, he was a nephew of St Patrick , and by him appointed first Bishop of Ardagh. There Saint Mel built a great monastery and governed it as Abbot. It was he who gave the veil of religion to Saint Brigid. He lived till towards the close of the fifth century. Ardagh Diocese venerates him as its Patron Saint.
