ALL SAINTS CELEBRATED IN JUNE Saints celebrated on the 27th of June WELCOME ! SAINT CYRIL OF ALEXANDRIA, BISHOP AND DOCTOR OF THE CHURCH ⬅️ Doctors of the Church - Complete List Saint Cyril of Alexandria was born in 370; he entered a monastery, was ordained, and became Bishop of Alexandria in 412. He opposed the heresy of Nestorius, patriarch of Constantinople, at the Council of Ephesus in 431, which led to a split in the Church. He was a vigorous defender of the faith, and has left many writings. PRAYER: Father, the bishop Cyril courageously taught that Mary was the Mother of God. May we who cherish this belief receive salvation through the incarnation of Christ your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, God, for ever and ever. Amen.
