SAINT EMERIC - 3 SEPTEMBER

ALL SAINTS CELEBRATED IN SEPTEMBER Saints celebrated on the 3rd of September WELCOME! SAINT EMERIC, PRINCE AND CONFESSOR  The blessed Emeric (Emericus) was a son of King  Saint Stephen of Hungary . But when, at the age of 24, he was supposed to take over the government of his father, who was willing to withdraw from the world, Emeric died in 1031 at Stuhlweissenburg (Alba Regalis).  Along with his father, was inducted into the company of official saints 52 years later. The Roman Martyrology * lists him with the title "beatus" on November 4 ; the date probably indicates a translation of Emeric's relics (I. 601).
