ALL SAINTS CELEBRATED IN DECEMBER Saints celebrated on the 28th of December WELCOME! HOLY INNOCENTS, MARTYRS To "the men children that were in Bethlehem and in all the borders thereof" killed by order of King Herod ( Matthew 2:16 ), Saints Irenaeus , Hilary , Cyprian ,  Augustine and other Fathers give the title of Martyrs; and as such they have from the beginning been commemorated in all Martyrologies and honoured liturgically both in the Eastern and in the Western Church. Several Oriental Rites keep the Feast of Holy Innocents on December 29; but December 28 is by far the more usual date.  From The Book of Saints, 1921, by the Monks of Ramsgate PRAYER: Father, You give us Your life even before we understand.
