  ALL SAINTS CELEBRATED IN FEBRUARY Saints celebrated on the 12th of February WELCOME! BLESSED HUMBELINE OF JULLY Blessed Humbeline was born in 1092 at Fountaine-les-Dijon, France. Blessed Humbeline was the only daughter of the Lord of Fountaine, and   St Bernard of Clairvaux was her brother. After the death of their mother , St Bernard entered a nearby monastery, three years later forming his own monastery at Clairvaux. St Bernard’s widowed father and his five brothers also joined this monastic community. A "MATERIAL GIRL" Blessed Humbeline, however, preferred life in the material world. She married an adoring husband who lavished her with wealth, jewels and fine clothes. Blessed Humbeline loved horses and music, having a beautiful voice herself. Yet over time she missed her brother St Bernard and so she decided to visit him at his monastery. ST ETHELWOLD, BISHOP OF LINDISFARNE - 12 FEBRUARY

  ALL SAINTS CELEBRATED IN FEBRUARY Saints celebrated on the 12th of February WELCOME! SAINT ETHELWOLD, BISHOP OF LINDISFARNE A page from the Lindisfarne Gospels Saint Ethelwold was an 8th century Bishop. A disciple of   St Cuthbert , he became afterwards Abbot of Old Melrose, and for the last twenty years of his life Bishop of Lindisfarne. A CONTEMPORARY OF ST BEDE He was a contemporary of St Bede , who speaks of him in terms of high praise. SAINT FEAST DAY 12 FEBRUARY: ST EULALIA OF BARCELONA

  ALL SAINTS CELEBRATED IN FEBRUARY Saints celebrated on the 12th of February WELCOME! SAINT EULALIA OF BARCELONA, VIRGIN AND MARTYR Saint Eulalia of Barcelona was a Spanish martyr in the persecution of Diocletian (February 12, 304), patron of the cathedral and city of Barcelona, also of sailors.  PATRON OF SAILORS The Acts of her life and martyrdom were copied early in the twelfth century, and with elegant conciseness, by the learned ecclesiastic Renallus Grammaticus.  A BEAUTIFUL HYMN  Their chief historical source is a Latin hymn of the middle of the seventh century by Quiricus, Bishop of Barcelona, friend and correspondent of St Ildephonsus of Toledo and of Tajo, Bishop of Saragossa.  This hymn, identical with that of Prudentius for the feast of St Eulalia of Merida (December 10, 304), was preserved in the Visigothic Church and has reached us through the Mozarabic Liturgy.  Information from Catholic Encyclopedia, 1913 PRAYER: Grant, we beseech you, almi...
