ALL SAINTS CELEBRATED IN SEPTEMBER Saints celebrated on the 17th of September SAINT AGATHOCLIA, MARTYR Today, we also commemorate Saint Agathoclia. The Roman Martyrology states: "The same day, Saint Agathoclia, servant of an infidel woman, who was for a long time subjected by her to blows and other afflictions, that she might deny Christ. She was finally presented to the judge and cruelly lacerated, and as she persisted in confessing the faith, they cut off her tongue and threw her into the flames." PRAYER: Grant, we beseech you, almighty God, that the venerable feast of Saint Agathoclia may increase our devotion and promote our salvation. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, for ever and ever. Amen.
