  ALL SAINTS CELEBRATED IN OCTOBER Saints celebrated on the 13th of October SAINT CARPUS, BISHOP OF BEREA Saint Carpus was one of the 72 disciples of the Lord, and Bishop of Berea, who supported St Paul the Apostle in preaching the gospel. He is supposed to have died in peace as bishop of Berea, although some say he was killed by the Jews. He is listed in the Roman Martyrology * on October 13. St Carpus is also commemorated on May 26.   ALL SAINTS CELEBRATED IN OCTOBER Saints celebrated on the 13th of October GERBRAND, ABBOT OF CLERCAMP Gerbrand (Gerbrandus), abbot of the Cistercian monastery of Clercamp (Clarus campus) in Friesland, died in A.D. 1218. BLESSED ALEXANDRINA MARIA DA COSTA, MYSTIC AND VICTIM SOUL  Alexandrina Maria da Costa, was born on March 30, 1904 in Balazar, Portugal.  At 14 years old, three men tried to break into her room to rape her. To escape them, Alexandrina jumped 13 feet (4.0 m) down from a window, barely surviving. Her spine was broken from the fall. She remained bed-ridden for about 30 years. According to her Vatican biography, from March 1942, for about 13 years until her death, she received no food except for the Holy Eucharist, and her weight dropped to about 33 kilograms (73 lb). She was examined by medical doctors, with no conclusion. Based on the advice of a priest, her sister kept a diary of Alexandrina's words and mystical experiences.
