SAINT EPHREM, BISHOP AND MARTYR - 7 MARCH

    ALL SAINTS CELEBRATED IN MARCH Saints celebrated on the 7th of March SAINT EPHREM, BISHOP AND MARTYR Saint Ephrem (Ephraem) was a bishop and martyr in the Crimea (Chersonesus Taurica). His death for the holy faith occurred in the early 4th century.  The Bollandists * list Basileus, Eugenius, Agathodorus, Elpidius, Aetherius and Capitus as his companions in suffering; the Roman Martyrology * features the same fellow martyrs  along with Saint Ephrem on March 4, but mention two further saints, Nestor and Arcadius, and name Basilius instead of Basileus. SAINT AETHERIUS, BISHOP OF VIENNE - 14 JUNE

  ALL SAINTS CELEBRATED IN JUNE Saints celebrated on the 14th of June SAINT AETHERIUS, BISHOP OF VIENNE Saint Aetherius was Bishop of Vienne in France at the time of King Dagobert and died in the 7th century. Pope Innocent IV elevated his relics and stipulated an indulgence of 100 days to all who would prayerfully invoke Aetherius' intercession on said occasion.   ALL SAINTS CELEBRATED IN MARCH Saints celebrated on the 4th of March Prayer to the Angels and the Saints Heavenly Father, in praising Your Angels and Saints we praise Your glory, for by honouring them we honour You, their Creator. Their splendour shows us Your greatness, which infinitely surpasses that of all creation. In Your loving providence, You saw fit to send Your Angels to watch over us. Grant that we may always be under their protection and one day enjoy their company in heaven. Heavenly Father, You are glorified in Your Saints, for their glory is the crowning of Your gifts. You provide an example for us by their lives on earth, You give us their friendship by our communion with them, You grant us strength and protection through their prayer for the Church, and You spur us on to victory over evil and the prize of eternal glory by this great company of witnesses.
