ALL SAINTS CELEBRATED IN AUGUST Saints celebrated on the 5th of August WELCOME! SAINT EUSIGNIUS, MARTYR Today, we also commemorate Saint Eusignius. The Roman Martyrology states: "At Antioch, Saint Eusignius, a soldier, who at the age of one hundred and ten years, because he. reproached Julian the Apostate for forsaking the faith of Constantine the Great, under whom he had served, and for having degenerated from his ancestors' piety, was decapitated by his command." PRAYER: Grant, we beseech you, almighty God, that the venerable feast of Saint Eusignius may increase our devotion and promote our salvation. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, for ever and ever. Amen.
