ALL SAINTS CELEBRATED IN DECEMBER Saints celebrated on the 30th of December WELCOME! SAINT ANYSIUS, BISHOP OF THESSALONICA Today, we also commemorate Saint Anysius, bishop. The Roman Martyrology states: "In the same place [Thessalonica], Saint Anysius, bishop of that city." [Saint Anysius participated in the Synod of Capua and was highly praised by Saint Ambrose for his fidelity to the doctrine of the Church.] PRAYER: May the intercession of the blessed Anysius, your bishop, commend us to you, so that through his merits we may obtain that which we cannot accomplish by our own. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, for ever and ever. Amen.
