SAINT HYMNEMUND, ABBOT OF ST MAURICE (ST MORITZ) Saint Hymnemund is also known as Hymnemondus, Hymnemodus , French Hynnemond . According to the Bollandists (February II, 545) , he was the first abbot of St Moritz ( Agaunum )[St Maurice] in the [Swiss] Canton of Valais, after this monastery had been refounded by Saint King Sigismund of Burgundy around the year 515 or 516. SAINT SALVATORE, BISHOP OF BELLUNO Saint Salvatore (Salvator) , a bishop of Belluno in Italy, ruled this church for several years in great holiness. He performed many miracles in life, and after his death continued to help all who invoked his intercession. In several places, altars and churches were built in his honour for this reason.   ALL SAINTS CELEBRATED IN JANUARY Saints celebrated on the 3rd January SAINT FERREOL, BISHOP OF UZES A page of one of Fortunatus Hueber's Saints' books, "Stammenbuch..." (1693) Saint Ferreol (Ferreolus) was born in Narbonne, Gaul, in the year 521, and succeeded Saint Firminus, his paternal uncle, in the bishopric of Uzes (Ucetia, Utica) in southern France.  Following some malicious slander he was exiled to Paris; but since his innocence was eventually recognised, Ferreol received permission to return to his diocese. He resumed his episcopal duties at his See around the year 558. He died in the twenty-eighth year of his bishopric.  His feast is recorded as January 3, writes Butler *. The Bollandists *, on the other hand, state that he is commemorated on January 4. At the time of the birth of Mathusala Henoch was sixty-five years of age, "and all the days of Henoch were three hundred and sixty-five years" (Genesis 5:23).  Instead of the clause "and he died", added to the sketches concerning the other patriarchs, the text says of Henoch: "And he walked with God, and was seen no more: because God took him" (Genesis 5:24).  BY FAITH ENOCH WAS TRANSLATED The inspired writer of Hebrews 11:5 adds: "By faith Henoch was translated, that he should not see death."
