SAINT ITHIER, BISHOP OF BOURGES - 25 JUNE

ALL SAINTS CELEBRATED IN JUNE Saints celebrated on the 25th of June SAINT ITHIER, BISHOP OF BOURGES Saint Ithier (Iterius), bishop of Bourges (Bituricae) in western France, is listed by Saussayus *. According to Zedler *, where he is called Saint Aetherius, he was the 3rd bishop of Bourges who flourished around A.D. 296. After his death he was buried in his birthplace, which is now called Nogent (Noyen)-sur-Vernisson and is not far from Montargis (Mons Argisus). He is venerated not only in Nevers, but also in Orleans (Aurelium) , Sens (Senones), Sully (Soliacum) and even in Bourges ( Bituricae) ,  where his feast on Jun...
