  ALL SAINTS CELEBRATED IN OCTOBER Saints celebrated on the 1st of October WELCOME ! SAINTS DENEGOTHIA, FAUSTINUS, MARTIAL, AND COMPANIONS Saints Priscus, Crescens  (Crescentius)  and Evagrius suffered at Tomi in Lower Moesia, and with them, most probably at the same time and in the same place, also Saints Denegothia (Demergotha), Faustinus, Martial, Januarius, Alexander, Euprobus (Eutropius), Digna (Pigra) , Gothia (Cotta), Saturnina (Saturninus), Spes or Speus, Castus, Primus, Donatus, Passicus , Propus (Prepus) and probably another Digna . Only the first three are listed in the Roman Martyrology *, namely as Martyrs of Tomi in the Pontus, in which city Ovidius lived in exile. However, the Bollandists' * research suggests that the place Tomi where the enumerated martyrs suffered is located in that part of Lower Moesia which lies between the Danube and the Black Sea, i.e. in present-day Bulgaria.
