BLESSED MONFORD SCOTT, PRIEST AND MARTYR Monford Scott (Montford Scot) was born of a gentleman's family, in the Diocese of Norwich, and was far advanced in his studies before he left England, which was in the year 1574. At which time he was admitted - by Dr Allen - into the college lately instituted at Douay, and there applied himself to the study of divinity. He was one of the eldest sons of that fruitful mother, and stands the nineteenth in the list of her priests, according to the order of their ordination, and the thirty-first in the list of the missioners sent from thence into England. He was made priest in 1575, and sent upon the mission in 1577, before the removal of the college to Rheims. Dr Champney gives him this character: He was , says he, a man of wonderful meekness, and of so great abstinence and devotion, that his diet, on common days, was bread and water, and he would take but little more...

(1693) Saint Adeodatus, a priest, died under the fourth consulship of Probus the Younger at the age of 85, according to a tomb inscription at the Church of Saint Vincent in Gallianum near Canturio (a village in the Milan region, near Como). Saint Adeodatus is venerated on July 2, which is also the day of his translation. From the above piece of information, which is the only one we have, it is not possible to determine at what time he lived. [Blessed] George Beesley was a martyr, born at The Hill in Goosnargh parish, Lancaster, England, of an ancient Catholic family; he died July 2, 1591.  He was ordained priest at the English College at Reims, March 14, 1587, and left for England, November 1, 1588. A man of singular courage, young, strong, and robust, he was captured by Topcliffe late in 1590, and was by his tortured reduced to a skeleton.  He endured all with invincible courage and could not be induced to betray his fellow Catholics. He suffered by the statue of 27 Eliz., merely for being a priest, in Fleet Street, London. His last words were "Absit mihi gloriari nisi in Cruce Domini Nostri Jesu Christi" and, after a pause, "Good people, I beseech God to send all felicity". (From Catholic Encyclopedia, 1913) PRAYER...
