ALL SAINTS CELEBRATED IN APRIL Saints celebrated on the 10th of April MARTYRS OF ROME Today, we also commemorate the Martyrs of Rome. The Roman Martyrology states:  "At Rome, the birthday of many holy martyrs, whom  Pope Saint Alexander baptised whilst he was detained in prison. The prefect Aurelian had them all put in an old ship, taken to the deep sea, and plunged into it with stones tied to their necks." PRAYER: Grant to your Church, we beseech you, O Lord, through the intercession of your holy Martyrs of Rome, not to think high-mindedly, but to grow in humility pleasing to you; that, despising what is base, she may with unbounded love diligently do whatever is right. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, for ever and ever. Amen.
