SAINT FELICIA, VIRGIN AND MARTYR OF CAGLIARI Encyclopedia of Saints Saint Felicia (February 5), a virgin and martyr of Cagliari ( Caralis, Calaris ) in Sardinia, was allegedly executed at the age of eight. Her body was rediscovered in 1627.   The name Felicia, as well as the names Felicianus , Felician , etc., derive from the Latin felix , meaning happy, blessed. (I. 592). ST ALBINUS, BISHOP OF BRIXEN - 5 FEBRUARY

  ALL SAINTS CELEBRATED IN FEBRUARY Saints celebrated on the 5th of February WELCOME! SAINT ALBINUS, BISHOP OF BRIXEN The name Albinus is derived from the Latin: Albus = white ; meaning: the white, the clean one.  Saint Albinus (Albuinus) ,commemorated on February 5, Bishop of Brixen (Brixina, Brixino) in Tyrol, was descended from noble parents. He is said to have transferred the episcopal see from Seben (Sebatum, Sabio) to Brixen, to have been highly esteemed by Emperor Henry the Pious, and to have been buried in Brixen. His name is listed in the Roman Martyrology * on February 5 alongside that of Saint Genuinus . SAINT THEODULA AND COMPANIONS, MARTYRS - 5 FEBRUARY

  ALL SAINTS CELEBRATED IN FEBRUARY Saints celebrated on the 5th of February WELCOME! SAINT THEODULA AND COMPANIONS, MARTYRS During the Diocletian persecution, Saints Theodula, Boethus, Evagrius, Macarius, and a number of holy Companions whose names have not come down to us suffered under the Præses Pelagius. At Anazarbus in Cilicia, Saint Theodula was led to his judgment seat. She had been reported to the authorities because she professed Christ as the true God. Since she did remain steadfast, the judge had her hanged by the hair from a cypress tree and had her feet pierced with red-hot nails. Saint Theodula, in her torments, then asked to have an image of a pagan deity brought to her. The pagans gladly complied, and when it was held close to her face, she slowly and deliberately breathed on it, and by her saintly breath, the idol crumbled into pieces. JOHN MOROSINI, ABBOT - 5 FEBRUARY

  ALL SAINTS CELEBRATED IN FEBRUARY Saints celebrated on the 5th of February JOHN MOROSINI, ABBOT John Morosini (Johannes Maurocenus), the first abbot of the Benedictine monastery of Saint George the Greater (Giorgio maggiore) in Venice, was a descendant of a famous family. He died in A.D. 1015. Zedler* (46, 1243) lists him as "Blessed John", stating the year of his death as 1012.  The Bollandists * mention our holy abbot in the life of  Saint Romuald  on February 7th (II. 107), where it is related that he and  Johannes Gradenicus or Gradonicus (March 4) accompanied the Venetian doge Petrus Urseolus (in the Roman Martyrology * on January 10) on his flight to a monastery in Gaul.  Saint Gerard Sagredo was one of his students.   ALL SAINTS CELEBRATED IN FEBRUARY Saints celebrated on the 5th of February SAINT CONSTANTIUS, BISHOP OF SEBEN Saint Constantius (Constantinus), a bishop of Seben (now Brixen) in Tyrol, was the successor of Saint Ingenuinus . He lived at the time of Saint Emmeram and died, according to Raderus *, in A.D. 645. SAINT CALAMANDA, VIRGIN AND MARTYR  Saint Calamanda was a virgin and martyr in Catalonia, whose relics are preserved at Calaffi, and there devoutly venerated. According to Migne, she was from the company of Saint Ursula, and was killed by the Huns in Cologne around the year 453.
