ALL SAINTS CELEBRATED IN NOVEMBER Saints celebrated on the 12th November SAINT ARSATIUS, BISHOP OF MILAN In A.D. 746, Aldebert and Otkar, the founders of Ilmmünster in Upper Bavaria, moved the relics of Saint Arsatius, Bishop of Milan, to their new monastery Prior to its destruction by the Huns, this solemn translation was commemorated there on May 18. In 1495, under Duke Albert, the monastery, and with it the body of St Arsatius, was transferred from Ilmmünster to Our Lady's Church (Liebfrauenkirche) in Munich. This transfer was celebrated there on March 9. As we have just been informed by a friend from Munich [the author's "just" was during the 19th century], this celebration has not taken place since the dissolution of the Canons' Convent in 1803. In 1846, most of St Arsatius' mortal remains were most solemnly returned to the parish church at Ilmmünster, but a larger relic of it was kept in the cathedral church in Munich.
