ST MANSUET, BISHOP OF THE BRETONS - 19 MARCH

ALL SAINTS CELEBRATED IN MARCH Saints celebrated on the 19th of March WELCOME! SAINT MANSUET, BISHOP OF THE BRETONS 📷 PublicDomainPictures   Saint Mansuet ( Mansuetus ), "Bishop of the Bretons", commemorated on March 19 , died in Gaul as an exile towards the end of the year 461; he attended the Council of Tours. It is difficult to even conjecture where his episcopal see was located. Dempster * suggests he may have presided over the church in Argyllshire ( Argadia ) in Scotland, whereas others believe he held no specific see. Judging by his epithet, he may have served as a bishop in Brittany. His biography, written by Adso , has been published on several occasions. The author refers to him as "Saint Mansuet" (III. 2).
