LIGERIUS, FOUNDER - 15 SEPTEMBER

LIGERIUS, FOUNDER Ligerius (15 September), an anchorite, was the founder of the abbey of Dunen (Dunum) in the area of ​​Furnes (Furnae) in the western part of Flanders, which was later transferred to Bruges (Brugae).  He lived a very strict life according to the Rule of Saint Benedict, and the reputation of his holiness spread far and wide.
