HUMILIS OF BISIGNANO, RELIGIOUS - 28 NOVEMBER

ALL SAINTS CELEBRATED IN NOVEMBER Saints celebrated on the 28th of November HUMILIS OF BISIGNANO, RELIGIOUS Humilis, a Franciscan at Bisignano in Calabria, died in the year 1637 in the odour of sanctity.  He had an admirable zeal for prayer and meditation; he carried a glowing devotion to the holy Body and Blood of our Lord. He practiced all monastic virtues, especially obedience, with the greatest self-denial. He was graced by God with the gifts of ecstasy and prophecy.  In 1693 the beatification process was begun and approved by Pope Innocent XII, who issued the relevant decree. We do not know whether it was completed, though. (Hub. Men.)
