SAINT GREGORY, BISHOP OF AUXERRE In the early 6th century, Saint Gregory, the 10th bishop of Auxerre (Antisiodorum), ruled his church for twelve years. His successor was Saint Optatus . According to handwritten notes about the bishops of Auxerre, which were available to the Bollandist Sollier , Saint Gregory died on May 29. The Roman Martyrology * lists him on December 19. We could not find his name in Butler's works . (Mg.) Their splendour shows us Your greatness, which infinitely surpasses that of all creation. In Your loving providence, You saw fit to send Your Angels to watch over us.
