SAINT JUNIANUS, HERMIT Junianus  (commemorated on October 16), also called  Ninianus  or  Vivianus  by one of the hagiographers, was an anchorite in the French region of Limoges  (Lemovicum) , a disciple of  Saint Amandus . SAINT JUNIAN, HERMIT Saint Junian  was a 5th century hermit in France; he was endued in life with great powers of working miracles, and much venerated in Limoges and in the surrounding districts. He is believed to have lived far into the sixth century. A small town near Limoges takes its name from him.
