  ALL SAINTS CELEBRATED IN APRIL Saints celebrated on the 5th of April WELCOME! SAINT CRESCENTIA HOSS, VIRGIN Saint Crescentia Hoss was born in 1682 in Kaufbeuren, Germany, the sixth of eight children. St Crescentia had a very beautiful voice and many non-Catholics would attend Mass just to hear her singing.  SHE WANTED TO JOIN THE LOCAL CONVENT St Crescentia longed to join the local Franciscan Convent, but her poor family could not afford to send her there.  The convent was poor itself and needed funds in order to sustain itself. It is said that the local Mayor sorted out some funds for them on the condition that they accepted St Crescentia into their community. WRITING LETTERS St Crescentia eventually became the superior of the convent and both Catholics and Non-Catholics sought her spiritual advice and counsel.
