SAINT QUIRIACUS AND 272 COMPANIONS - 17 JUNE

  ALL SAINTS CELEBRATED IN JUNE Saints celebrated on the 17th of June WELCOME! SAINT QUIRIACUS AND 272 COMPANIONS During the reign of the emperor Diocletian, Saints Quiriacus, the tribune Blastus, Diogenes, Aena, Nicander, Dorostolus, Eusicius, Aquila, Cantianus and 262 others; also Longinus and the priest John, suffered martyrdom in Rome. By the way, there are many varieties regarding these names. The Roman Martyrology * lists only  262 martyrs  [on March 25 ] without providing any names . SAINT EUSEBIUS AND COMPANIONS - 24 APRIL

  ALL SAINTS CELEBRATED IN APRIL Saints celebrated on the 24th of April SAINT EUSEBIUS AND COMPANIONS Today, we also commemorate Saint Eusebius and Companions. The Roman Martyrology states:  "The same day, during the persecution of Diocletian, the holy martyrs Eusebius, Neon, Leontius, Longinus, and four others, were slain with the sword after enduring great torments." PRAYER: Grant to your Church, we beseech you, O Lord, through the intercession of your holy martyrs Eusebius, Neon, Leontius, Longinus, and Companions, not to think high-mindedly, but to grow in humility pleasing to you; that, despising what is base, she may with unbounded love diligently do whatever is right. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, for ever and ever. Amen.

SAINT LONGINUS, MARTYR - 24 JUNE

  ALL SAINTS CELEBRATED IN JUNE Saints celebrated on the 24th of June SAINT LONGINUS, MARTYR Saint Longinus was a martyr who suffered in A.D. 308 under Galerius Maximianus along with his six brothers, who were also soldiers, at Satalis in Armenia.  They died at sea during a fierce storm, praying, and were buried at Petiente (Petiuntis), a town in the kingdom of Pontus - the place the vessel had drifted to afterwards. Saint Longinus is one of the Companions of Saint Orentius.
