SAINT EUPSYCHIUS, CONFESSOR - 5 NOVEMBER

  ALL SAINTS CELEBRATED IN NOVEMBER Saints celebrated on the 5th of November WELCOME! SAINT EUPSYCHIUS, CONFESSOR Saint Eupsychius, saintly Confessor, was mutilated for his steadfastness in the Christian faith during the reign of Emperor Maximin II. Afterwards, he was condemned to forced labour in the mines. In the Greek Meneae*  he is listed alongside Saint Carterius . (Mg.) SAINT EUPSYCHIUS, MARTYR - 7 SEPTEMBER

  ALL SAINTS CELEBRATED IN SEPTEMBER Saints celebrated on the 7th of September SAINT EUPSYCHIUS, MARTYR Today, we also commemorate Saint Eupsychius. The Roman Martyrology states:  "At Caesarea, in Cappadocia, in the time of the emperor Adrian, Saint Eupsychius, martyr, who, on being accused of professing Christianity, was cast into prison. His release following shortly after, he immediately sold his patrimony, and distributed the proceeds of it partly to the poor and partly to his accusers, whom he regarded as his benefactors. But being again arrested, under the judge Sapritius, he was lacerated, pierced through with a sword, and thus consummated his martyrdom." PRAYER: Grant, we beseech you, almighty God, that the venerable feast of Saint Eupsychius may increase our devotion and promote our salvation. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, for ever and ever. Amen.

SAINT EUPSYCHIUS, MARTYR - 9 APRIL

  ALL SAINTS CELEBRATED IN APRIL Saints celebrated on the 9th of April SAINT EUPSYCHIUS, MARTYR Today, we also commemorate Saint Eupsychius. The Roman Martyrology states:  "At Caesarea, in Cappadocia, Saint Eupsychius, martyr, who suffered martyrdom under Julian the Apostate, for having overthrown the temple of Fortune." PRAYER: Grant to your Church, we beseech you, O Lord, through the intercession of your holy martyr Eupsychius not to think high-mindedly, but to grow in humility pleasing to you; that, despising what is base, she may with unbounded love diligently do whatever is right.     ALL SAINTS CELEBRATED IN APRIL Saints celebrated on the 9th of April Prayer to the Angels and the Saints Heavenly Father, in praising Your Angels and Saints we praise Your glory, for by honouring them we honour You, their Creator. Their splendour shows us Your greatness, which infinitely surpasses that of all creation. In Your loving providence, You saw fit to send Your Angels to watch over us. Grant that we may always be under their protection and one day enjoy their company in heaven. Heavenly Father, You are glorified in Your Saints, for their glory is the crowning of Your gifts. You provide an example for us by their lives on earth, You give us their friendship by our communion with them, You grant us strength and protection through their prayer for the Church, and You spur us on to victory over evil and the prize of eternal glory by this great company of witnesses.
