ALL SAINTS CELEBRATED IN JUNE Saints celebrated on the 17th of June SAINT MANUEL AND COMPANIONS, MARTYRS Today, we also commemorate Saint Manuel and Companions. The Roman Martyrology states: "At Chalcedon, the holy martyrs Manuel, Sahel, and Ismael, whom the king of Persia sent as ambassadors to Julian the Apostate to treat of peace. Having firmly refused to worship idols, as they had been commanded by the emperor, they were put to the sword." PRAYER: Grant, we beseech you, almighty God, that the venerable feast of Saints Manuel, Sahel, and Ismael may increase our devotion and promote our salvation. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, for ever and ever. Amen.
