RICHARD FITZRALPH, ARCHBISHOP OF ARMAGH Richard [FitzRalph], (remembered on December 21), was - already during his lifetime - so honoured as a writer and member of the Trinitarian Order that Pope Innocent III had him consecrated Archbishop of Armagh and Primate of Ireland, while Gregory IX made him Cardinal.
