  ALL SAINTS CELEBRATED IN JANUARY Saints celebrated on the 28th of January WELCOME! SAINT JEROME LU TINGMEI AND COMPANIONS Saint Jerome Lu Tingmei, Saint Laurence Wang Bing, and Saint Agatha Lin Zhao, c atechists and martyrs, were arrested for being Christians and offered their life if they renounced Jesus Christ. They steadfastly refused and were subsequently beheaded on January 28, 1859, in   Maokou (in the province of Guizhou), Ch ina. PRAYER: Grant, we beseech you, almighty God, that we who know how courageously your holy martyrs Jerome, Laurence, and Agatha confessed the faith, may experience their goodness as they intercede for us with you.   ALL SAINTS CELEBRATED IN APRIL Saints celebrated on the 12th of April WELCOME!  SAINT LAURENCE, MARTYR Saint Laurence was killed for the Christian faith along with a large group of holy men and women, headed by  Saint Quartus .   ALL SAINTS CELEBRATED IN NOVEMBER Saints celebrated on the 15th of November SAINT LAURENCE, BISHOP OF NOLA Saint Laurence (Laurentius) , according to Zedler*, was the 15th bishop of Nola and is called "saint" by him, while in the General Martyrology* , he is indicated merely by name. He is also listed in the Elenchus*. St Laurence lived in the 5th century.   ALL SAINTS CELEBRATED IN FEBRUARY Saints celebrated on the 2nd of February Prayer to the Angels and the Saints Heavenly Father, in praising Your Angels and Saints we praise Your glory, for by honouring them we honour You, their Creator. Their splendour shows us Your greatness, which infinitely surpasses that of all creation. In Your loving providence, You saw fit to send Your Angels to watch over us. Grant that we may always be under their protection and one day enjoy their company in heaven. Heavenly Father, You are glorified in Your Saints, for their glory is the crowning of Your gifts. You provide an example for us by their lives on earth, You give us their friendship by our communion with them, You grant us strength and protection through their prayer for the Church, and You spur us on to victory over evil and the prize of eternal glory by this great company of witnesses. Grant that we who aspire to take part in their joy may be filled with the Spirit that blessed their lives...

  ALL SAINTS CELEBRATED IN AUGUST Saints celebrated on the 10th of August WELCOME! SAINT LAURENCE, DEACON AND MARTYR Saint Laurence was born in Spain and became a deacon in Rome. During the persecution of Valerian, he was ordered to hand over all the valuables of the Church. Saint Laurence thereupon gathered numerous poor in the area, presented them to the city prefect and said, “Here is the Church’s treasure.” After his arrest in 258, he was burned to death by being roasted on a gridiron.  PRAYER: Glorious Saint Laurence, model of Christian fortitude, I implore you in your loving kindness to pray for me before the throne of God. To you I have recourse in the problems that daily surround me. Shield me against my selfishness and my indifference to God and my neighbour. Inspire me to imitate your Christian virtues. May your blessing be with me always, so that I may see and serve Christ in others and work for His Kingdom. Graciously obtain for me from God those favours and graces...
