SAINT FEAST DAY FOR EVERY DAY OF THE YEAR

  ALL SAINTS CELEBRATED IN AUGUST Saints celebrated on the 21st August SAINT CYRIACA, WIDOW AND MARTYR Today, we also commemorate Saint Cyriaca. The Roman Martyrology states:  "At Rome, in the Veran field, Saint Cyriaca, widow and martyr. In the persecution of Valerian, after devoting herself and all her goods in the service of the saints, she gave up her life by suffering martyrdom for Christ." PRAYER: Grant, we beseech you, almighty God, that the venerable feast of Saint Cyriaca may increase our devotion and promote our salvation. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, for ever and ever. Amen.

  ALL SAINTS CELEBRATED IN MAY Saints celebrated on the 19th of May SAINT CYRIACA AND COMPANIONS, MARTYRS Today, we also commemorate Saint Cyriaca and Companions. The Roman Martyrology states:  "In the same city [Nicomedia] six holy virgins and martyrs. The principal one, named Cyriaca, having freely reproved Maximian for his impiety, was most severely scourged and lacerated, and then consumed with fire." PRAYER: Grant, we beseech you, almighty God, that the venerable feast of Saint Cyriaca and Companions may increase our devotion and promote our salvation.
