  THE DIVINE ORIGINS OF THE DEVOTION TO THE MOST LOVING HEART OF JESUS Margaret Mary Alacoque  of the Visitation Convent at Paray-le-Monial, was the favourite disciple of the Heart of Jesus, chosen and formed by Him to make known the treasures, manifest the wishes, establish the worship in the Church and to spread the devotion, of His Heart everywhere. Her life was nothing other than the continuous and marvellous intertwining of the many loves of that Heart. From her cradle she was immersed in gentle and celestial blessings. Already, at the age of three, she wad horrified by any sin, even tiny ones. She instinctively fled from profane conversations, preferring to be alone before God. At nine years old, having made her First Communion, the holy young girl was so drawn to and moved by Jesus Christ, she could think of nothing else.   ALL SAINTS CELEBRATED IN OCTOBER Saints celebrated on the 16th of October Prayer to the Angels and the Saints Heavenly Father, in praising Your Angels and Saints we praise Your glory, for by honouring them we honour You, their Creator. Their splendour shows us Your greatness, which infinitely surpasses that of all creation. In Your loving providence, You saw fit to send Your Angels to watch over us. Grant that we may always be under their protection and one day enjoy their company in heaven. Heavenly Father, You are glorified in Your Saints, for their glory is the crowning of Your gifts. You provide an example for us by their lives on earth, You give us their friendship by our communion with them, You grant us strength and protection through their prayer for the Church, and You spur us on to victory over evil and the prize of eternal glory by this great company of witnesses.
