Saints celebrated on the 8th of June
MEDARD, ABBOT OF CLAIRVAUX
Medard (Medardus), a 12th century abbot of the Cistercian monastery of Clairvaux in Champagne, died after a pure and devout life around A.D. 1153. In Chalemot* and some other calendars Medard bears the title "blessed."
