SAINT FAUSTUS, BISHOP OF TARBES Saint Faustus, who is commemorated on September 28, was Bishop of Tarbes¹ ( Castrum Bigorrense, Tarba ) in Gascony. Because of his faithful service in his office, he was exiled for some time, but was later allowed to resume his episcopal see. Saint Licerius [Lizier] , later Bishop of Conserans ( Conseranum ) in Gascony, was one of his disciples. Saint Faustus may have died toward the end of the fifth century. (VII. 715).
