  ALL SAINTS CELEBRATED IN OCTOBER Saints celebrated on the 4th of October BLESSED ERVEUS, ABBOT Of high nobility in spirit and body, Blessed Erveus (Erucus) became abbot of the Cistercian Order (Ursicampi) in the diocese of Noyon.  Saint Bernard  prophesied of him that he would attain a high degree of perfection. After many works of piety and brilliant miracles, Erveus went home to the Lord in A.D. 1142. The hagiographers give him various titles. Bucelin * calls him Erucus and Herveus.   ALL SAINTS CELEBRATED IN JULY Saints celebrated on the 17th of July HERVE OF ANJOU, CONFESSOR Herve (Herveus) was a confessor who lived in Anjou at the beginning of the 12th century and died there about the year 1130. He is venerated in Chalonne. According to Bruzen *, the village of Saint-Hervé, which is located on the lower part of the island of Chalonne, is named after him.  (Mg.)   ALL SAINTS CELEBRATED IN JUNE Saints celebrated on the 17th of June WELCOME! SAINT HERVE  Saint Herve (Herveus) was a 6th century Welsh Saint and Singer, blind from his childhood. His father, Hyvarnion, had taken refuge in Brittany.  A TEACHER AND MINSTREL There St Herve grew up to become a teacher and minstrel. Idolised by the people, he lived to a great age, dying about the year 575.  In art he is represented as blind, and led about by a wolf.  (From The Book of Saints, 1921, by the Monks of Ramsgate)
