SAINT FEAST DAY FOR EVERY DAY OF THE YEAR

  ALL SAINTS CELEBRATED IN MAY Saints celebrated on the 27th of May WELCOME! SAINT GAUSBERT, HERMIT Saint Gausbert ( Gausbertus ), commemorated on May 27, was a hermit who attracted so many disciples through the shining example of his virtues that he founded the monastery of Montsalvy (coenobium Monsalviense)  in the Diocese of Saint-Flour. He went to his eternal reward around the year 1069.  The  Bollandists * could not find out any more detailed information, as the monks of Montsalvy, when approached by the hagiographers in the process of their research - oddly enough - refused them access to the manuscripts held there. Their lack of cooperation seemed to stem from petty jealousy regarding the  Bollandists '* growing renown. (VI. 68., Mg.) SAINT GAUSBERT, BISHOP OF CAHORS Saint Gausbert ( Gausbertus ), Bishop of Cahors ( Cadurcum ), is commemorated on December 10.
