Saints celebrated on the 4th of June
PALUMBUS, HERMIT
Palumbus, a monk from the order of Saint Benedict, a Neapolitan by birth, entered the monastery in 1065. Soon afterwards, with the permission of his abbot, he moved into the cave of Saint Benedict in Subiaco, in which he lived 25 years. He died towards the end of the 11th century. The veneration of his relics, which seems to have taken place for some time, has long since ceased. Although Bucelin* lists him with the title "blessed," the Bollandists* mention Palumbus among the Praetermissi.
Palumbus is also remembered on March 11.
