Henry (Heinrich, Henricus) was a hermit in Beuerberg on the river Loisach in Upper Bavaria, not far from lake Würmsee, where there was once an Augustinian settlement. He rests in the church dedicated to the Blessed Virgin Mary.
His life story is shrouded in mystery. Raderus* calls him "Saint." His grave was universally revered; it was especially visited on the three Saturdays following Easter, and numerous healings and other miracles occurred there. Henry is thought to have flourished before 1100. According to Braun*, he was a Count of Andechs and Wolfrathshausen who lived c.1230.
