Saints celebrated on the 27th of July
Conrad (Conradus), Duke of Bavaria and King of Italy, was the son of Emperor Henry IV. Married to the daughter of Prince Roger of Sicily, he lived with her in virginity, did a great deal for churches and monasteries, and thus made amends what evil his father (who is said to have wanted to give up his wife Adelheid [Adelaide] to every wanton person in the manner of the Nicolaitans¹) had done. He died in 1101, as is believed, of poisoning.
[Conrad II of Italy, also known as Conrad III died on July 27, 1101.]
[¹The Nicolaitans were a heretical sect within the Church, propagating the belief that Christians could engage in sexual immorality without moral consequences. They encouraged Christians to pursue sexual pleasure without restraint (Patrick Oben).]
