SAINT EUBULUS, CONFESSOR
The name Eubulus is derived from the Greek; it means one who advises correctly, a good adviser.
This Saint Eubulus was a devout Christian and a disciple of the apostle Paul, with whom he stayed in Rome during his second captivity. He is mentioned in Saint Paul's second letter to Timothy (2 Timothy 4:21):
"Make every effort to come before the winter. Greetings to you from Eubulus, Pudens, Linus, Claudia and all the brothers." (III. 719.)
