SAINT ABRAHAM, ABBOT
Saint Abraham (Abrahamus) was abbot at the Cistercian monastery at Pratea (probably the monastery of Saint Peter de Pradelle in Languedoc). Some writers list him merely among the blessed, others only among the pious (Pii). According to Bucelin*, Saint Abraham distinguished himself just as much by his dignity and gentleness as by his purity of heart, and is said to have kept his virginity entirely undefiled throughout his life.
