SAINT EUSPICIUS, CONFESSOR
Saint Euspicius led such a godly life in the Orleans area of France that even King Clovis heard of him and thereupon sought him out. Deeply impressed by this saintly man, the king gave him lands, whereupon Euspicius and his nephew Maximinus built the monastery of Micy (Miciacum) with the approval and help of Bishop Eusebius of Orleans. Many monks gathered around them. Maximinus was eventually ordained a priest, and not long after Euspicius entered his eternal rest. He died early in the sixth century and was glorified by miracles. (V. 72)
