SAINT EUTROPIUS, BISHOP
Saint Eutropius, bishop of Adrianople was a native of Gaul, and was already endowed with the episcopal dignity when he bore witness to Christ during the reign of emperor Licinius.
He later fought the Arians zealously for the Catholic faith, and they effected his banishment. He died in his native Gaul towards the end of the reign of Constantine the Great. Athanasius praises Eutropius highly in some of his writings. (Mg.)
