BLESSED IMARUS, RECLUSE
Blessed Imarus, a recluse in Armagh in Ireland, lived at the beginning of the 12th century. He was the teacher of Saint Malachy, who spent several years under Imarus' direction, and whose spiritual leader he continued to be even after his pupil was adorned with the episcopal dignity. A cloister formed around his cell, which Imarus led. It was called Saint Peter (Mg.).
