SAINT PAULENNANUS OF QUIMPERLÉ
According to Mabillon*, a chronicle of Quimperlé (Chronicon Kemperlegiense) makes mention of Saint Paulennanus with the remark that his mortal remains were rediscovered at Quimperlé in A.D. 1089. On the same occasion, the relics of the following martyrs were found: Saint Symphorian (Symphorianus), of whom no other details are known, Saints Tenennanus, Guedianus (Guedienus). Guenhaelus, Idinaelus, Guthiernus (Gurchiernus, Guethiernus) and, in addition, some relics of other saints, including a part of the head of Saint Guemnolonus. The Bollandists* mention these finds in the biography of Abbot Gurloesius of Quimperlé (Aug. v. 273).
