SAINT FELIX, MARTYR OF THINISSA
According to the Roman Martyrology*, Felix boldly confessed his faith before the pagan judge, at Thinissa in Africa, and was sentenced to torture. In a speech he made to the people on this feast day, Saint Augustine relates that Felix was found dead in prison the following day, when they wanted to take him to the place of execution. His name is also mentioned in the Elenchus*. (Mart. Rom.)
